Mariah Koeiman (Polk County)

Meet our newest coach, Mariah Koeiman. She recently moved here from Salt Lake City, Utah where she was a hitting and fielding instructor at Elite Level Sports Academy. Coach Koeiman worked with various age levels improving hitting and fielding mechanics. She focuses on ensuring each player understands all components to powerful consistent swing, the importance of the mental side of the game, as well as creating a fun environment that promotes competition and growth.

Prior to instructing at Elite Level Sports Academy, she assisted coaching a 14u team in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where she also provided individual hitting and fielding lessons. Coach Koeiman graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelors in Psychology. While finishing her Psychology Degree at UVU, she worked with the UVU softball coaching staff as the Director of Operations. Before attending UVU, she attended Oklahoma Wesleyan University playing infield and outfield maintaining over a .350 batting average. Prior to OKWU, she attended Western Nebraska Community College playing infield and maintained over a .350 batting average. Through her playing experience, Koeiman gained a large amount of knowledge about proper offensive and defensive mechanics. During her four years competing, Koeiman donated her time instructing at various softball camps held by the institutions where she was able to work closely with the coaching staff to develop and improve her instructing technique. Koeiman brings a vast amount of passion and knowledge, and she looks forward to helping players improve their current skill set.
